Farmers Hardware was started in downtown Russellville in the 1940’s by a Mr. Parker. It was then sold in 1958 to Mr. Gillium and Mr. Helms and moved to the Bethel Shopping Center. Earl Spurlock purchased the business in 1972 and 28 years later sold it to the current owner, Jeff Harper, on May 1, 2000. The store was then moved across the street in November, 2004 to its present location, 101 N. Bethel Street.
